We get this question all the time… “We aren’t getting married in the NE Florida area! Do you travel?” The answer is a very enthusiastic “YES!” In fact, we absolutely love destination weddings - and there are so many advantages to using a photographer based where you live now, instead of picking a photographer based on where you are getting married.

Familiarity. By choosing a wedding photographer where you are currently based, the photographer has a chance to get to know you. Usually this is done through engagement photos - but we also have several in person meetings leading up to both your engagement session and your wedding. We get to know you and your partner, your personalities, and your style. Then, before the wedding, we are extremely comfortable with each other - which always translates to the photos that you will receieve and the final product. We have worked with you before and have a good understanding of your vision and expectations. This level of familiarity can make the photography experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

Consistency. By bringing us along for your wedding, you ensure a consistent style and quality of photography from the engagement session through your wedding day. This especially matters when you’d like to put the art on your walls in your home and need a cohesive look on your walls! Each photographer has their own style, and by using the same people for engagement and wedding photography it will ensure that you can tell the full story with the same look and feel.

Communication. Communication is key when it comes to wedding photography. By traveling with your photographer, you can discuss your vision and ideas in person in our studio, which can be more effective than communicating remotely. We all have experienced the difference it makes being able to be face to face with someone instead of even a phone call or a zoom call. Your wedding is the most important day of your life… and we understand that. Let the communication be done on your time, in your hometown!

Peace of mind. By traveling with your wedding photographer, you can rest assured that you have someone you trust and feel comfortable with capturing one of the most important days of your life. You won't have to worry about finding a photographer at the destination, coordinating with them, or (when traveling abroad) potentially encountering language barriers or unexpected cultural differences.

Cost-effectiveness. This one might surprise you! While yes, of course we need to charge a travel fee*, it can be more cost-effective in the long run. Speaking with a lot of our brides who’ve chosen to bring us along to their wedding, there’s a clear pattern: We offer better coverage, for the same or similar bottom line. Typically, destination location will try to include their own photographer - and I have heard everything ranging from “You only get 1 hour” to “Only 200 photos” to “Just the ceremony”. Additionally… when we travel - we are yours the whole time we are there. We don’t have other clients, it is JUST you. Ask us to customize your package based on your needs. We’ll throw in a free Post-Wedding shoot, Rehearsal-Dinner, or Unlimited Hour coverage.

The Reveal. If you have come to one of our meetings at the studio, you know how important the reveal process is to us. We deliver ALL of your images in just 2 weeks from your wedding, and we do it by letting you relive those moments in a personal reveal party catered just for you. This is such a different experience that simply receiving a link to your photos in a generic email, many months down the line. It gives you the opportunity to showcase the love you have for each other and makes the first time you see your images just as personal as the wedding day itself.
